Melissa Friedman, PhD, ABPP, is a Licensed Psychologist, who is Board Certified in Clinical Neuropsychology by the American Academy of Clinical Neuropsychology. She specializes in neuropsychology and psychotherapy for adults.
Dr. Friedman graduated from Brandeis University in 1993 with a Bachelor of Arts, and from the University of Houston in 2001 with a PhD in Clinical Psychology, with specialization in Neuropsychology.
She completed a postdoctoral fellowship in traumatic brain injury and memory disorders, at the James A. Haley Veterans Hospital in Tampa Florida. Subsequently, she completed a research fellowship at the University of Miami Rosenstiel School of Marine and Atmospheric Science, conducting research and publications on the cognitive and emotional effects of ciguatera fish poisoning in people.
Dr. Friedman has conducted and published research, taught graduate courses, and provided training and supervision to doctoral psychology students.
Currently, she maintains a private practice at Mount Sinai Medical Center in Miami Beach, Florida.
